I would echo the thoughts of Max E's review 2nd May 2018, additionally I wold say the bag looks smaller than it is in reality possibly, it is actually quite massive, I bought the pack as a day out solution, for which it it is simply too large, ended up swapping this out for a 2 litre solution and would in hindsight probably picked the 4R model instead. This pack combing with the side panniers in the same product line would be more than enough space for a weekend away. Feels fairly nicely made,but like Max points out blighted by some poor choices in design. At the size this bag is I wouldn't really classify it as a tail bag tbh ,kinda a step between a tail and a full box.

The pack looks and feels great but doesn't feel like anyone's actually tested it in real life - if you secure the base plate to your rear seat and then try and zip the bag onto it (like I did once at 5am with fingers numb from the cold) it's virtually impossible. There are several completely useless labels sewn into the exact spots that obstruct the zippers and a bungee loop right where you need to push the zipper along. I can't be the only person having experienced this. Even with the bag empty it's tough to get the cheap feeling zip into the 'socket' to start zipping up.

Successfully fitted the tailbag to my MV Agusta F3. Fits firmly and tidily and is stable on the road. Even looks good. Very happy with the product so far as it provides a good balance between functionality (normal and expanded capacity), fit and stability on the bike. Build quality is good - can't comment on its water-proofness (though looks capable and has a rain sack) Only gripe is that the zip attaching bag to the mount pad is tricky to line up and wiggle over some of the tags- not quite as easy as a simple on/off action.

Really pleased with this item. Loads of room for a weekend adventure. Zips on and off easily, turning the bag into a rucksack without having to undo the straps. Great waterproof bag cover that comes with it and 4 external pockets with heavy duty waterproof zippers. It looks great on the bike. Very sturdy on the road for soft shell bag. When extended, it has internal walls to add to the sturdiness. I would recommend this bag in a heart beat extremely pleased. Takes about 2 minutes to fix to the bike.
