1965-1966 Buick Special Skylark LeSabre NOS 300 V8 head gaskets 1374869

Product Description

NOS genuine GM head gaskets, part number 1374869.

These fit 1965 - 1966 Buick Special, Skylark, Sportwagon and LeSabre with 300 V8 engine.

These are the thin stamped steel head gaskets, not the composite ones.

These gaskets have the GM part number stamped right on them. While it is true that the bulk of GM's OEM gaskets were manufactured by the major aftermarket manufacturers (McCord, Victor, Fel-Pro or Fitzgerald), and those companies' numbers can be found on some gaskets, the only gaskets with the GM part numbers stamped into them are the ones that were ordered from GM. If these were just aftermarket gaskets, they would not have the GM number on them. The dealership these came from ordered them from GM Parts Division, they didn't call their local parts store to get them.

These are brand new and never installed, since the dealership that had these was smart enough to stash their old parts like a time capsule, instead of putting them in the dumpster. Unfortunately, one part of that operation that turned out to be not so smart was that they put them into one of those waxed chicken boxes. Being in that chicken box for 30 years or so, with no packaging, there was some light to moderate surface rust on them, especially around a couple of the cylinder bores. I cleaned it off with some 0000 steel wool, and about 99.9% of it came off, but you can still see some traces of it. They are brand new and never installed.

Shipping - Payment

A few words to make things easier.

1. Combined shipping for multiple auctions is always available, but when the auction is over, you will have to wait until I revise things in my eBay "paperwork" to create just one invoice for all your purchased auctions.  And I have to do the revising BEFORE you pay.  If auctions are paid separately (i.e. before you receive my invoice combining items), eBay will no longer then let me combine them on one invoice.  AND, eBay then automatically charges you separate shipping charges for each item, which is not refunded.  Again, this is eBay's set-up.  Combining auctions benefits you by saving you shipping and handling fees.

2. Payment is expected within 3 days.  After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded.  If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen.  Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.

Thanks for your bid.
