Up for sale is a great looking, working and sounding portable and at home 8 track tape player made by Panasonic, model RQ-830S. All serviced and cleaned! You'll not find a nicer one up for sale unless new in a sealed box. If you look closely at the pictures of the rear you will see a couple small scratches in the plastic cabinet, nothing big just letting you know what I see. I must ask for you to please read the full description, it will tell you all about the unit as well as information useful about all 8 Track players in general.
The size of the unit is 7" wide, 9-1/2" tall and 3-1/2" deep. The unit weighs 4 pounds. Please view close-up pictures for cosmetics, it's in such excellent condition inside and out. The battery compartment is in good condition, it also has an AC cord for home use. The sound is nice and clear. It's just a great player from a great name in audio. Even with a unit being hardly used or even new in the box, you really shouldn’t consider purchasing an 8 track player that has not been serviced. You have to realize these units are now 45+ years old and time is not kind on lube/grease (dries out), rubber belts (loses elasticity or turns to a gooey mess) and controls/switches (stiff and/or dirty) that haven’t moved in decades.
You also want to be sure the unit was serviced by someone with knowledge and not just trying to get it barely working to sell it. I always include a quick video of the unit playing and pictures during the process of servicing. I want to show it does take time to do things right as well as all the little parts that are involved. It’s just too easy for anyone to claim the work has been done in their listing. I do all this to make sure you get a good functioning unit and it will stay that way for some time.
