It retains the advantage of a normal cap, in that the peak helps to keep the sun out of your eyes, which is useful when fish spotting or casting, and it fits snugly on your head so will not easily fall or be blown off.
Unlike a normal cap, it is made from a lightweight, water-repellent material which ensures that your head stays dry – plus if you are out in the rain, the peak will keep it out of your eyes or away from your polaroid glasses.
