An amazing, very rare set of six battling
Crusader Knights of the mid 1100’s. Britain's originals, dated
1971. Complete with all weapons; broad swords,
halberd - pikestaff, mace, and battle axes. The Knights are in their
Templar colours of white and red cross. The original damaged shield stickers
have been replaced with the appropriate Crusader Templar cross. This group
include King Richard 1 – the 'Lion Heart', in his royal gold mail armour, battle
crown and royal insignia on his shield. A completely one-off rare set;
beautifully restored and painstakingly repainted to an extremely high
standard, showing incredible and accurate detail. I have used a series of
Revell and Humbrol enamel model paints to get a realistic lasting effect. Each figure
takes about three to four hours to complete. Not a toy, but a really
impressive collectors set. Metal bases, plastic figures;
each approx. 60mm in height. All in excellent condition ( see all 24 photographs). All bases show the figures to be Deetail Series 1971
models; made in England to Britain's original designs.
