From the back cover: In a world of shadows, young Terrs has come of age... Born on the day his father, the great sorcerer Terrs Fal Grizhni, fell to his enemies, he had grown to manhood among the gentle creatures that superstitious men called the White Demons of the Caverns.

They were his allies, his friends, his family. All he knew of humankind was his mother's love... and the dark legacy of his father's Skills and Powers.

Until the Duke of Lanthi Ume sent soldiers into the caverns to hunt down Dal Grizhni's wife and son. Until the defenseless white creatures died under their swords.

Now, to save his inhuman companions, Terrs must claim his true blood-bonded birthright as The Sorcerer's Heir
