(Disneyland, 1994) A rare sign used during the Disneyland boycotts of 1994. The boycott was in response to California Gov. Pete Wilson's Proposition 187 on immigration. When the proposition passed, boycotts began against The Walt Disney Company, who had previously donated to Wilson. The "Migra Mouse" artwork used on this sign was created by artist Lalo Alcaraz specifically in response to Disney's donation to Wilson, and depicts a border patrol agent Mickey Mouse. The sign measures 24"x18" and is in fair condition with creasing and wear throughout from use. Someone has written, "Boycott illegal immigrants" which saddens me - not because the poster is marred, but rather that someone would feel that way.
