Strip-built single kayak. Home built 2 years ago. Coated in epoxy and fibreglass inside and out, + 3 coats of yacht varnish, one coat very recent. Spruce strips (I think,  certainly not cedar), accent lines in mahogany type timber. Seat fibreglass,  fixed. Footrest adjustable. Built from plans by Nick Schade of Guillemot  Kayaks. Check Guillemot Kayaks' website for extra details.17.7 feet long, 21.75 inches wide. Weight appropriately  17 kilos.
I built it for my own use on local rivers to explore and for exercise, where I have found it lovely to paddle and it attracts compliments. I built it to be light to carry easily. I have not fitted a rudder and found it easy to manage without, but I am sure it could be retro-fitted easily.  Nor have I installed hatches,  again could be retro-fitted. There are 2  bulkheads with hatches which I have used to put in small items.
I am selling it through lack of use, my knees don't  bend like they used to so last year it never left the garage! I built a pack canoe to usei nstead! Time for someone else to own and enjoy it.
