Calling all Ian Fleming and James Bond collectors!

Here for sale is a vintage and original first edition, FIRST impression of the Ian Fleming James Bond novel, On Her Majesty's Secret Service published by Jonathan Cape in 1963 in great condition with its original dust jacket.

The covers are still a strong black colour and square. The ski lines are still prominent, but there are some small dents on the front. Plus shelf wear and bumps to the very edges, but these are minor and consummate with age.

The spine is also in great condition with the silver titles and Cape logo still prominent with only no fade on the title. Complete, straight and with tight binding. Only issues being some minor shelf wear to the extremities but overall it's looking great. Please do see photos for exact condition.

Internally the book is clean, with white and bright pages and no marks or inscriptions. Plus the only very slight browning is to the the text block edge.

The dust jacket is the original that came with the book back in 1963. The covers are in good condition and have survived fairly well. Generally complete, but there are the usual areas of fading, browning, foxing and marking to the edges. There are also areas with scuffs, chips and tears to the extremities plus a small missing section at the bottom of the spine. Now housed in a removable plastic cover, it still presents the book extremely well.

So an unique opportunity to own a first edition, first print Ian Fleming book in very good condition with the original dust jacket. Sent with Royal Mail 48.
