These Ray-Ban sunglasses are a must-have for any fashion-forward individual on a budget. With a red transparent rubber frame and gray gradient lenses, they are distinctive and unique. The combination of the matte color in the Justin style frames is rare. You can try and find some online but this particular color is out of stock for some time. These shades are perfect for summer when you find yourself going in and out of sunny environments, on long drives, or just to keep in your commuter bag for days you happen to get a seat on the L train facing the sun. The gray gradient lenses apply more tint to your eyeline and above, and less to below your eyeline making them idea for reading, dining, or working outside. The celluloid frame material adds durability and longevity, ensuring that these sunglasses will last for years to come. Whether you're looking to upgrade your current pair or simply want to add a touch of style to your wardrobe, these Ray-Ban sunglasses are the perfect choice.

A little guidance about this particular pair of shades. I would not recommend them for fishing, kayaking, or any water sports because they’re not polarized. EVEN THOUGH descriptions online about this style being polarized in the model description, this particular one does not appear to be. I’ve compared them with my favorite pair of polarized sunglasses looking at tempered auto glass and discerning a waffle-type pattern. When using these sunglasses, I don’t see any pattern. When I used my polarized ones, I see a pattern.

You may notice some glossy parts on these sunglasses around the high-touch or wear points on the frames. That’s because the “red transparent rubber” refers to the matte, tactile coating on the celluloid frame. It’s not actually made out of rubber. The frames are treated with a colorless coating that gives the frames a matte look. Additionally, the coating makes them easier to handle and less likely to slip out of your hands. The best way I can describe it is like the grip of a fishing pole or soft-handled hairbrush. The coating also causes them to pick up fibers and lint, but that can be removed using a cleaning cloth or the sticky side of scotch tape, which is what I used to clean them off and get them to the condition they’re in.

The lenses only have one blemish that I can tell, on the front of the right lens in the peripheral right (the side with the white ‘RayBan’ logo). I can see it from the front in glare, but when wearing them I do not notice a glint, blur, or ‘wrinkle’ created by that tiny blemish. Also, I have a wide-ish cranium, and these glasses fit on my head with very little tension, so if you’re worried about headaches from small frames, this pair might suit you better than what you’ve got now.

The shades come with the Ray-Ban case and the new-in-plastic Ray-Ban care cleaning cloth.
