These jars are complete with each having a proper ring, glass rlid and proper size rubber gasket.  These two jars compare to posting # 223-5 in the "Fruit Jars Red Book 9" by Leybourne (published 2001).  The "a" in Ball is undropped and the "R" in IMPROVED is dropped.  These are the significant differences from other jars with the same text.  With both jars there is a backwards "4" on the base. These jars we made in the years between 1923-33.
