Overall: Lovely Desk Pen Set. Fountain pen can be eyedroppered, and works nicely, but is intended for base to be filled with ink and used as a dip pen. #9556 nib with mild feedback. Smooth luster to both pen and base, with slight surface scratches. Lightly polished. Small chip on base by inkwell. Lovely writer.
Pen: Slight surface scratches but overall smooth luster. Sheaffer formula thread seal has been used on the tail threads so the pen can be used as an eyedropper without leaking. #9556 nib is a good fine to medium nib with a consistent medium flow of ink.
Base: Lightly polished luster with slight surface scratches. Small chip by ink well. Otherwise in great condition.
Writing Condition: The pen works wonderfully but will dry out if ink well isn't full. Good ink flow from feed when wet and mild feedback. The nib twists out and the barrel can be eyedroppered.
