Oil on cardboard. Unsigned. Ca. 1800. Outstanding portrayal of a Maenad, shown suspended in air holding a mirror. Maenad is a female follower of Bacchus. Motif after frescos found in Ancient Pompeii and Heculaneum. A collectors dream. A certificate of authenticity will be included with this work.
