SEVEN YEARS: ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA 2003-2010, Essays by Kenneth Satrr (the state's most celebrated historian), 2010 1st limited edition (I don't believe iot ever sold retail, which is why there's no price of bar code box with ISBN number anywhere on the DJ); Wilsted and Taylor Publishing Services (Oakland, CA), near-excellent condition (book is clean and tightly bound with bright, deeply embossed California State Seal on the front and bright, deeply embossed gold lettering on the spine, straight corners, 403 pp. + 5 unnumbered pages printed on very thick, glossy white paper; the lower rear vertical edges and cornersa of the final8 pages and back blue flyleaf are crinkled from contact with what was likely a bit of water, which had no impact at all on the lower rear DJ flap; DJ is excellent - fully flapped and very thick with a glossy finish; the flaw which prevents a higher rating is).

PLEASE NOTE: Arnold inscribed and signed in brown marker on the blue front flyleaf - "To Milva with love (I can't decipher the next 4-letter word, which starts with 'M"), followed by an underlined  "Arnold".

Weakened by serious financial headwinds and a sense that he had no solutions, Democratic Governor Gray David  was recalled, the first timer in California history and only the second time in the country's history. Among the dozens of candidates who entered the race to replace him was the formidable, beloved Austrian Arnold Schwarzenegger, the 7-time Mr. Olympia who became a Hollywood superstar and managed to marry Maria Shriver, a lovely member of the Kennedy clan (and a major plus in his campaign and governorship). This big, heavy, deluxe book, which appears to have been issued in a relatively small number and sent to a select few, is a detailed history of the race, Arnold's election, and his 2 terms in office. It's filled with great photos, mostly in color, some in B&W, and Starr's savvy chronicle is ably supported by a number of quotes from Arnold, who was a very popular moderate Republican who loves California and was very much into environmental protection.

There are no other copies on eBay, confirming its scarcity. The only signed copy from a U.S. seller on Google is on the linked rare book site American Book Exchange (ABE).It's a like new copy accompanied by 4 photos. Arnold signed his full name without a dedication, and the first name is signed exactly the same as mine. It's $969.13 + $27.80 shipping. My copy's not as fine but remains a very presentable signed copy and is fairly priced based on scarcity and the value of Arnold's signed material..

The Buy-It-Now price of $360.00 includes shipping bubble-wrapped in a priority mail box, which takes 2-3 days with tracking and insurance.
