Here for sale is a vintage and original first edition, 6th impression of the Ian Fleming James Bond novel, The Spy Who Loved Me published by Jonathan Cape in 1964.

The book is in excellent condition, considering it age (60 years old). The book is still compact and square. The covers are black, with the dagger on the front still prominent, but they do have some areas of minor shelf wear to the extremities and an odd bump to the ends.

The spine is also looking great and square with the silver titles and logo still very prominent. Again with only some small areas of shelf wear to the edges.

Inside, the book is very clean but there is a small inscription on the title page. Otherwise, clean, white and bright pages throughout. There is also only very faint browning to the text block edge. Overall, not bad for a book that is 60 years old! Please do check photos for exact condition.

The dust jacket is the original that came with the book back in 1964. The covers are in great condition and have survived well. Complete, but there are the usual areas of browning and foxing to the edges. Also a few scuffs and chips to the extremities plus a closed tear to the join with the spine. Now housed in a removable plastic cover, it presents the book extremely well.

So an unique opportunity to own a first edition Jonathan Cape copy plus a piece of publishing history. Sent with Royal Mail 48.
