Donald A Wollheim edited this magazine, which reprinted stories from the classics of the 19th Century as well as those from the pulp magazines of the 1920s and 30s. Unlike many magazines, there are no advertisements in this series.

Authors in this issue include Anthony Boucher, Ray Bradbury, G K Chesterton (Father Brown mysteries), H P Lovecraft, William Hope Hodgson, more.

5 1/4 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches tall. Illustrated card-stock (saddle-bound) covers. 128 pages.

Condition: Covers show some wear: staples have not yet pulled through the cover paper but are on the way, abrasions on the spine ends, old transparent tape wrapped around upper spine edge, outer corners creased and lightly rounded, a few creases on the panels, inked price on upper front panel, light soiling on the spine and rear panel; page edges unmarked. Inner pages are clean, tight and unmarked, with a bit of staining on the outer edges of the first cover page; toning as expected with this type of paper (light brown.) Several pages are ragged-cut on the corners.
