Pussy Cat Willum Vintage Hand Puppet

Extremely rare Pussy Cat Willum vintage hand puppet made by Chad Valley dating from the late 1950s or early 1960s. He has a hard rubber head and cloth body and paws. He's in good condition overall but does exhibit some age-related wear.

Willum was a glove puppet that would make an appearance on a children's TV show called 'Small Time', presented by Muriel Young and Wally Wyton, first featured in 1959, devised and animated by Janet Nichols. Willum achieved super star status, receiving as many as 400 letters per week. He was quite a special puppet cat because it seems he had many professions - some glamorous, some not.
