This unique Trench-art YPRES Brass Shellcase is a remarkable souvenir from the Great War. The case is believed to have held a German 77mm shell, and features intricate detailing and engravings. Faintly dated AUG 1918, it is also marked ST, 111, FN (in a circle) and 27.  The shellcase is a rare and fascinating example of the art created by soldiers during the war and/or of postwar battlefield tourism and folk-art.

The case is in good hands and has been well-preserved, making it an excellent addition to any collection.  The case is a must-have for any militaria enthusiast, and a great way to remember the bravery and creativity of the soldiers who served in the trenches during World War I and those who rebuilt the shattered battlefields after it and made a living through creating souvenirs such as this one.
