Vol.1, Vol.2, with “KAYO HISO: Chinese manuscript“ complete three volumes set.

Volume 1 and 2 include 35 expressive illustrations of 63 type of horses with the commentary, such as eight swift horses that were owned by King Mu of Zhou in China (Vol. 3 is only Chinese text, not including illustrations) The commentary covers a wide range of contents including horse species characteristics, breeding method, veterinary medicine.

The edge of several pages is slightly torn, but there is no insect damage, the content state is very good. Although there are some damage, the original cover and title slip also remained. First edition book (this book has not been reprinted).
An excellent rare book about 230 years ago that hardly comes out to the market.
