Tiny, round, ornamental moon pot with rocket lid. Very unusual, one-of-a-kind piece of stoneware pottery, depicting a white moon with marbled monochrome craters.
This miniature jar is 100% produced by hand and uses the sgraffito technique. Sgraffito is an Italian process of carving that involves building up layers of colour on a clay body, then carving a pattern or illustration to reveal the hidden colors.
A lovely decoration or storage container which is suitable for a variety of purposes, such as jewellery storage, pet urn, trinket container, altar decoration, key holder etc.

The exterior decoration consists of layers of black and white clay slip and a clear glaze, while the interior is a shimmering black/brown glaze.
