• Vintage winter dress, gala or ceremonial uniform (jacket, pants, belt and regulatory saber) from the 1970s of a Cavalry Colonel of the Argentine Army.
  • It belonged to a Cavalry Colonel who graduated from the National Military College on December 17, 1943 and retired from active service on March 26, 1975. The white button is that of Auxiliary of the General Staff and the insignia on the left side belongs to a distinction received abroad.
  • It is a jacket made in 1943 and the embroidery on the collar has been changed twice. With his promotion to the rank of Major (Chief) and Colonel (Senior Officer).
  • Made with the best wool fabric dark blue with a collar hand-embroidered in gold threads, decorated with laurels typical Superior Officers. The pants, of the same cloth and color.
  • Its epaulettes with a Hungarian knot of golden silk threads and a bronze sun. The hierarchy also has it placed on the final edge of three bronze sun on the sleeves.
  • The belt is made of natural silk with a bronze buckle. Its measurement is adjustable (approx. up to 1 meter)

  • This uniform was in use in the Argentine Army between the 1930s and the late 1990s.
  • The saber is an vintage, original piece, Model 1910 manufactured in Military Arsenals that for more than 70 years.
  • It replaced the Saber of Officers of the Argentine Army model 1898. Its hilt is reminiscent of the famous English saber for Light Cavalry of 1876, also known as "a la Blucher" or the German model 1811.
  • The guard is simple, with a ring or stirrup, with escutcheons, made of cast bronze, chiseled and gilded, and measures 135 mm long and 25 mm wide and the ridge ends in a rounded end.
  • The pommel is long with irregular inner edges, its termination is flattened and the fixing nut of the spike is embedded in it.
  • The handle was made of diagonally ribbed plastic and the ferrule is chiselled in the shape of waves.
  • The blade, made of burnished good steel, is semi-curved, cane-shaped, flat and without gaps and with a raised back edge.
  • It has acid engraved on one side the figure of the Republic and the National Shield and on the other the inscription "SEAN ETERNOS LOS LAURELES". 
  • The scabbard is made of sheet iron pavoned painted black, with a single ring fastened by a smooth clamp, with a hole for hooking on the left side.
  • It has a built-in nozzle fixed by one or two screws, with a short asymmetric flap.
