MARIA JOSEFA COLOM i SAMBOLA (Spain 1927-2017) Painter and Printmaker Maria Josefa Colom was born in 1927. From 1957 she taught at the San Jorge academy of art in Barcelona. Maria Josefa Colom exhibited widely, winning numerous awards for her graphic works, including the prestigious Goldpalms award in Monte Carlo in 1976, a gold medal from the Fine Arts Association in Madrid, and a silver medal from the city of Paris.
