Vtg guitar tube amp project SE - 3-5 watt - With low line level audio input. Nice compact transport case
Here we have a 60's era all original tube amp for sale...super clean! No papers are included, but the original power cable and lid/cover is even here. This is a small suitcase deal, and is relatively low wattage. So while you probably can't play a huge venue with this amp alone, it has amazing tone. There IS a small built in speaker included, but I'll tell you now...despite it working...it just sounds awful. But when you plug in a speaker cab to it's external speaker out jack, the lousy internal speaker shuts off and sound only comes from the cab you're powering...which is a good thing in this case. The 1/4 inch input was likely made for movie projector or reel to reel sound....but when you plug in a guitar, magic happens. Another small odd thing....you can only plug your guitar cable half way in for the amp to work. A small thing...nothing broken...I assume the jack was wired with a trs jack instead of a ts jack....remember...this was not made for guitar. There are a few minor scratches and scuff...the unit is old. The vacant space you see was likely for 45 records or reels of tape, but it now doubles as a pedal/cable holder. This is a rare bird....pick it up now!
NOTE: A lot of cables are included. This companion amp was an option with the heavy T2200 reel-to-reel. These are not as common.
It looks like it has the magic-eye tube too so you know when you are over driving/ clipping. It is NOT stereo. It is single channel
A fun project.
Reminder, this does have some hum, some main caps should be replaced, added and the old can just clipped/ left in place.. this amplifier was designed portable so all the tubes should have factory retainers.
