This is slide EBC603 in our internal filing system.
Boston's first PCC car arrived in 1937, and the rest were built between then and 1951. A few are still in use today on the Ashmont-Mattapan line.
The cars shown here are double-ended PCCs, originally built by Pullman for Dallas, where they were in use from 1945 to 1956. Boston bought them in 1959, and they were used in service there for about 20 years, after which some went into work service. A few still exist, but none are in operating condition. While in Boston, they were nicknamed "Texas Rangers."
This slide is being sold as-is, in the condition as shown in our listing photographs. It does not include any copyright.
