This bentwood twig child's chair is a lovely antique piece made with handmade square head nails. Please read below for significant condition issues. This type of furniture was commonly found in the Adirondack region of New York, and this one probably dates to the later 1800's. This one has a wonderful heart shape on its backrest. The wood has a beautiful patina and no evidence of paint.

The backrest is approximately 26 1/2" high, and the chair measures about 15" from arm rest to arm rest.

This chair needs restoration to be functional due to some pieces pulling apart, a few breaks, and some missing wood. The back of the chair, the arms and the seat surface are in fairly good condition. There are several spots where the twigs have pulled apart. A twig which should go horizontally across the back has fallen off, but I have it. On the right hand side of the back rest the ends of three twigs have broken. There are other condition issues, but the chair still feels fairly sturdy. Please see photos for details.
