The J-38 telegraph keys were manufactured between WWI and the Korean War by multiple different companies.  One of the better known such companies was the Lionel Corporation, still making toy trains.  A lesser known company was the Liberty Elec. Corp., which made the key now at auction.  Please note that the rectangular base is missing.  Included in the auction is a page describing the history of the J-38.
