Rare lot of WW1 Australian diaries, note books, training notes. 34/Bn Lieut MID.

On offer is a fantastic lot of original WW1 note books and diaries belonging to an Officer in the 34/Bn who was wounded in action and won a Mentioned in Dispatches.

They belonged to Lieut Augustus Gibson Farleigh MID 34/Bn. There is a bit of confusion in some of the records as there was another officer named A G Farleigh MC, MID 33/Bn.

7 books in total from soon after he enlisted in1916 to mid 1919.

They include a diary from 1918, course notes, lists of those in his company, training diagrams. Everything is hand written in pencil. I have taken photos of 1 or 2 of each book so you can see what type of information is there.

He was wounded in action 4/4/18 and won the MID LG 27/12/18.

1 book has insect damage to the bottom left corner. Since it's so low it only affects the bottom 2 lines and gets less as it gets closer towards the back. Another book also has some insect damage to the top rear but only affects that last few pages and only 1 of those pages has writing on.

Generally in good used condition.
