Schlaggenwald Blue Forget Me Nots & Gold Scrollwork Cup & Saucer Circa 1810-1820
Very
pretty porcelain cup with figural swan handle and saucer. Hand painted
with a bouquet of blue forget me not flowers and gold scrollwork
designs. The head of the swan on handle is gilded. Has a gold star in
the center of the saucer and gold bands along the edge of both the cup
and saucer. Marked on the bottom with an underglaze blue S. This mark
was used by Lippert & Haas in Schlaggenwald between 1810 and 1820.
Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 3 1/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
