12+2 Black Copper Marans and Blue Copper Marans Eggs for Hatching.

We breed for egg color with an eye on SOP and cull heavily for defects/disqualifications.  I have a mixed flock of Black Copper Marans and Blue Copper Marans hens, with a Black Copper Marans Rooster.  All resulting chicks will be either Black Copper Marans or Blue Copper Marans.  Photos of some of my flock are included in the listing.  Eggs pictured are NOT the exact eggs you will receive, but are an accurate representation of my darkest eggs of the year. I do my best to photograph in outdoor natural lighting so egg color is accurate.  The eggs you receive will be medium to large and will be varying shades of chocolate brown, and you can expect the colors to vary slightly and lighten throughout the laying season.

I can provide pictures of the exact eggs you will receive by special request. We are an Indians NPIP AI/PT Clean flock.

You will receive 12 + 2 bonus Black Copper / Blue Copper Marans eggs freshly collected fertilized eggs for hatching. 

These eggs are being sold as a preorder. Once your payment is accepted I will be able to give you an estimated ship date!

Chickens are raised on our 40 acre farm in northern Indiana. I hand collect eggs daily and check fertility regularly.  

Eggs are shipped USPS within 3 days of being collected in pre-made foam egg shippers to give them the smoothest ride possible. Once they leave here, I can't control how the USPS handles them. Fertilized hatching eggs are not guaranteed and will NOT be replaced or refunded. Even with protective packaging and carefully choosing ship dates, shipping and transport can be rough on eggs.  Hatch rates on shipped eggs can NOT be guaranteed, however I take extra measures on the things that I CAN control including - 

Eggs are hand collected daily 

• Fertility is checked weekly and eggs are only sold from pens that have 90%+ fertility. 
• I will not ship over a federal holiday.  
• Eggs are shipped Priority Mail and typically take 3-5 business days but can take longer.  It really depends on USPS.  Please plan your incubation accordingly. (Eggs are good to incubate up to 14 days, we do it all the time).
• I only send fresh eggs. Your eggs will be laid within 3 days of shipping. Any eggs older than 4 days are either hatched here, or eaten. :)  They are not stored for shipment.      
• If you wish for your order to be held at the post office for pick up please indicate so in the checkout instructions along with your phone number.
• If you have any questions please ask before you purchase.  I'm happy to help you with hatching as we have >95% hatch rate on our farm.

When you purchase you agree that; Due to the nature of shipping eggs, I do not guarantee hatch rates, and you assume the risk and no refunds will be given. You are buying eggs, not chicks.  Due to biosecurity concerns, I do not accept returns on hatching eggs. Shipping hatching eggs is a gamble. There are many factors out of my control as to why eggs may not develop once they leave the farm including, but not limited to, handling during shipping, incubation practices, quality of incubator, etc.  The only things I can guarantee is that eggs are shipped to you fresh, packed to the best of my ability, and that fertility in my pens is 90%+.  Because of this, I ask that you do not leave negative feedback based on a poor hatch rate. Please leave feedback on the things that I can control, including, communication, packaging of the eggs, condition the eggs were shipped/received and speed of delivery to the post office.  

USPS can take longer than anticipated.  If the estimated time for your delivery has past, does not mean your eggs are bad.  We typically allow up to 10 days from the day you order ships until eggs are less viable to incubate.  Meaning if your eggs are in transit longer than 10 days, PLEASE contact us for your options.  Thank you for supporting my small farm.  Happy Hatching.
