Very Old German book on building styles - Rough Translation of the title – “Treatise of the Art of Building – Notices and Considerations for Young Persons Who Want to Dedicate Themselves to the Beautiful Art”

"Written as best – Sebastian le Clerc – Roman Knight – Royal French Cabinet, Artist Engraver.

As an add-on a translation of an academic treatise of the Triglyph composed by professor Mr. Kraft from Tubingen.

Nurnberg published by Christoph Weigel, Art Dealer 1759". (His wife after his death).

Part of the book is in Old German and Part in French.  It has many illustrations of column styles and Cornice construction.  Also, general building diagrams.

The book is in fragile condition with a very loose binding and water stains. All of the pages turn freely and are not stuck together or illegible.   This is a very rare book from the 18th century Germany and would make a great addition to a collection.      Free Shipping!
