This camper now runs fine with no faults!
We have recently took this in as a px on a brand new transporter campervan.
We have done quite a lot of work on this van over the previous years such as poptop roof, insulation, sound deadening, plylining, carpet lining, new flooring etc. The customer who’s van it was has spent a lot of money on it but decided it was time for an upgrade so we took this as a part exchange on a brand new T6.1 campervan. Selling without warranty as it’s an old vehicle. The previous customer made us aware that it lacked power so we have just had a mechanic check it over and it had a boost leak which has now been fixed so it’s good to go. We welcome any AA or RAC inspection before buying. It has the usual transporter fault of fuel filler cap not staying closed. This is a small clip that can be bought off eBay for a few quid. It’s very clean for its age and is in the sought after colour of pure grey. We did a mileage check on it and found the mileage to not be consistent. We have been told by the previous owner that it had a 2nd hand engine fitted a few years back so the dash clocks were fitted at the same time to show the mileage of the replacement engine. It’s showing just over 100k miles. Great van for someone wanting to buy a Vw camper for little money. It still has mot so ready to go camping. It’s set up as a basic camper with full width rock and roll bed. We only normally deal in vans/campers that are either brand new or under 3years old so are wanting a quick sale hence the price.
This is a very cheap van considering the roof system and work we have carried out within the last year cost the customer over £7k.
