The Samoyed was the first domesticated dog bred in Siberia to herd, pull sleds, and sleep with the people to keep them warm. 

They are known for their Sammy smile. 

They have two coats. The undercoat is pure wool and sheds or is brushed out for grooming. 

Sammy’s do not have any doggy odor but smell like wet wool when they get wet 

It is this undercoat that is light lofty insulating and tremendously warm. 

They are a gentle good natures breed of the working class 

My family raised and showed Samoyeds. 

The yarn offered is rare and difficult to come by as it takes a great deal of Samoyed wool to make one skein. 

Offered is a 4 ounce hank of approx 238 yards 

Worsted weight.  Depending on project. Use a 7-9 needle or related crochet hook. 

This yarn is precious.
