Stunning and unusual vintage 1950s Lace Wedding Platter Hat with English Tulle Double Veil has an open crown, chiffon and lace flat bow and hand crocheted cotton lace covering a wire frame. Dramatic authentic "New Look" headpiece! Wide brim measures 16" side to side and 14" front to back. Crown opening is 7" front to back, fits a variety of head sizes. Has small loops for bobby pins at sides of opening. I believe the information on tag about the Flammable Fabrics Act of 1953 dates the hat to sometime in the 1950s. Probably made in the USA.
