ANTIQUE ART DECO FRENCH VERLYS BLUE GLASS VASE “DANAIDES”

A large Art Deco centrepiece 7.5” (19cm) vase in lovely Blue colour.

The design features  classically dressed, bare footed maidens pouring water from Urns.  Each maiden has her own panel around the entire vase.  The maidens are finished in polished glass and sit on a frosted panel background which really allows these figures to stand out.

Flying above the maidens are stylised Art Deco Stork-like flying Birds around the rim in a freeze effect. 

The vase is stunning and heavy without damage, minor bubble inclusion on rim.

A great display piece from the Art Deco era, inspired by Lalique.
