Whilst the cover is meant to have a slightly distressed vintage look , nevertheless photo 4 of the back panels , particularly towards the edges where the book has been held there are some slight areas of grubbiness. 

Photo 5 shows that there is slight shelf wear storage creasing along the top edge of the dustjacket.

Photos 6 , 7, 8 and 9 show other slight areas of rubbing and storage creasing particularly at the corners and the base of the dustjacket spine.

The book's corners are not bumped except for the top front corner which has some small creases, see photo 10 but photo 11 shows it is not bumped.

This is an enormous 32.5 cms by 25 cms book and yet I read it almost in one sitting and was left in awe of the single minded determinedness of the path Johnny Cash chose to travel and the depth of his song writing.
