Here is a wonderful vintage 999 fine silver artisan vase that is just spectacular in person! It is entirely hand chase in a modernistic nautical design depiction seaweed and a fish. Just beautiful!
It has been tested as silver and it is marked on the bottom with SA over FS
Our research has found that this was used in South Africa to mark silver. The SA is the makers initials and FS was used on Fine Silver with a purity of .999
It measures 4 1/2 inches tall and is 2 1/2 inches across at the opening of the vase and 5 inches across at the widest point of the base.
It weighs 233 grams
