Original Signed Watercolour with the Signature of a listed artist James Kerr McArthur . This is a c20th painting by a Scottish Artist . There is a label identifying the scene and artist that was on the reverse of the picture frame - I have retained this and it is now on the back of the picture . It appears to read Kames Kerr MCARTHUR Millhouse South Newbald ? 

The framers label was Browns in Hull hence I believe this says South Newbald - it is not easily decipherable .

South Newbald is West of Hull and is in East Yorkshire .

I cannot find a Mill House at that location . I can only find Lower Mill Farm . I am unsure if that is the location , but it might be as there is a water dam in front of that property and this has water in the foreground .

It bears the Artists Signature to the bottom left corner . 

The painting showing through the mount measures 16.75 x 11.5 inches .

I estimate this was painted in the 1950s or 1960s
