NATIVE GINGER
Always thought about growing that bush tucker garden you've
always dreamed about, then native ginger is a unique edible native ginger and
will be a great step in the right direction.
A very hardy, majestic landscape feature plant with white flowers and green
blue seedpods.
The plant is mostly found in rainforest regions, near streams, creeks and waterways.
FOOD
Both the berries and the rhizomes are used, while the leaves are used for wrapping
food in earth ovens, much the same as banana leaves. New shoots are also eaten and
have a fresh ginger taste.

PROPAGATION
Seeds often respond well when planted in a sterile seed growing medium and most seed
is best sown during periods of long warm temperatures between 18 -25 degrees in late
Spring or Summer.
