This is a RARE NEW w/o tags vintage authentic Wilson 1986 Chicago Bears Walter Payton size 42 game jersey. This is an original jersey from 1986, 37 years old, NOT a Mitchell & Ness replica throwback. Wilson was the official supplier of game jerseys for the Chicago Bears during the 1986-87 season. All the materials and specifications are exactly same as the actual jersey worn by Payton in the game (other than size and customizations). All the numbers and letters are screened onto the jersey. The name is screened onto the jersey on a name plate. The jersey also has GSH screened onto the sleeve in memory of the founder and owner of the Chicago Bears, George Stanley Halas who passed in 1983. This jersey is NEW w/o tags and is in excellent condition. There is a small hole in the jersey which I have included in the pictures. Please confirm condition in pictures.

Walter Payton was a Chicago Bears running back for 13 seasons in the NFL. Nicknamed “Sweetness” he is widely considered as one of the greatest running backs of all time. When Payton retired, he held the NFL records for career rushing yards (16,726), touchdowns, carries, yards from scrimmage, and all-purpose yards. He was a NFL MVP, NFL Offensive Player of the Year, NFL rushing yards leader, NFL rushing touchdown leader, and NFL Man of the Year in 1977. Walter was an 8x All-Pro, 9x Pro Bowler, 4x NFL rushing attempts leader (1976-99), and a Super Bowl Champion in 1985. He was nominated to the NFL 1970’s & 80’s All-Decade Team as well as the NFL 75th & 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. Sweetness was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993.
