19th Century Old Paris Porcelain Hand Painted Castle Waterfall Cobalt Gold Vase
Absolutely
stunning Mid 19th century Old Paris porcelain vase. Nicely hand painted
in cobalt blue with black handles with gold highlights. Also has gold
gilding around the scalloped lip. Has a central image on the body of the
vase of a nicely hand painted scene of an estate with a castle,
mountains and trees behind it and a waterfall in front. Surrounded by a
gold gilt band and fancy gold gilt scrollwork. Also has a gold band
around the foot rim.
Has some wear to the gilding and it does
have an approximately 3/4 inch hairline extending off the edge of the
lip. There are no other chips or cracks and this is still a very lovely
piece that displays well.
Measures approximately 5 3/8 inches wide from handle to handle x 7 5/8 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
