G.F. Bowers Hand painted Floral Blue & Gold Tea Cup & Saucer C. 1839-1845

Antique British bone china tea cup and saucer. Decorated on the inside with hand painted pink, purple, blue, red, white, and yellow flowers. Has a blue border with gold floral grapes and scrollwork. Unmarked except for the pattern number 1148 in red. Attributed to G.F. Bowers. Circa 1839 to 1845.

Has crazing typical of bone china, wear to the gilding, staining, a tight crack extending off the lip of the cup, a curved tight crack around the well of the saucer, an in manufacture firing separation through the handle, and a small flake to the foot rim of the saucer.

The cup measures approximately 5 1/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/4 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 7/8 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
