Nippon Hand Painted Chrysanthemum Flowers & Gold Beaded Ewer Circa 1891-1911

Antique Japanese porcelain ewer / pitcher with cabriolet legs and fancy relief molded handle. With relief molded beading around the neck that has been gilded. The spout is decorated in forest green with fancy gold gilt scrollwork overlay. Below the neck are the ewer is decorated with nicely hand painted dark pink, light pink, and yellow chrysanthemum flowers over a yellow background. With gold gilt scrollwork with beading throughout. The center has a large forest green frame with fancy gold gilt scrollwork and beading on either side, connected in the center and behind the handle with smaller frames. The handle has gold gilt highlights and the outer side of the cabriolet style legs are gilded. Marked on the bottom with a blue Maple leaf and Nippon Hand Painted. This mark was used between 1891 and 1911.

Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.

Measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide x 9 3/8 inches tall.
