very old curly, eastern black walnut guitar side pair,  Sides, 32  long , 5.1 to 4.1 wide sanded to approximately .0.130 thick.

Please Note: I have listed these as needing help as they have a number of insect related holes from 50 years of storage. This wood was originally from arkanasas and cut into planks in the 1960's. I resawed this wood a few years ago. The first 4 pictures are of the "face" side of the wood. The holes are mostly on the left plate, athough there are 1 or 2 on the right plate. I have tried to cirle the spots in chalk. The last 5 pics are of the "reverse" or inside face. Again the damage is mostly limited to one plate( that was the outside of the original plank).

It is likely some of these spots are not going to be cut away with body taper, so some repair may be necessary.

Some of my oldest wood, I purchased from my mentor's estate.

Lovely, close grained, slow growth chatoyant lumber with slight curl

The edges have not been jointed, a few saw marks still present. I have left them as large as possible.
