Nippon Morimura HP Orange Poppy Flowers & Gold Beaded Chocolate Cup & Saucer D

Pretty porcelain chocolate cup and saucer. Decorated with a border of hand painted orange poppies with green leaves with raised gold gilt highlights and beading. Marked on the bottom Hand Painted M Nippon with a wreath. This mark was used by the Morimura Brothers in Nippon (Japan) between 1911 and 1921.

Has some wear to the gilding, and an 1/2 inch hairline crack extending off the lip of the cup. No additional chips or cracks.

The cup measures approximately 3 3/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/4 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
