Extremely rare complete set of ten, limited edition, Edgar Allen Poe, antique books. THE WORKS OF EDGAR ALLEN POE. Published in 1902, this collection is fully illustrated with gothic artwork by Frederick Simpson Coburn. Gorgeously dark illustrations.

Only 1000 sets of these were ever printed. This is set #665.

Almost all of these books have Uncut pages as the books were rough hewn and most appear unread. They are in very good to very good plus condition.

The only exception is Volume one, which has spine damage, as shown, light lower staining on first 2 pages, the inner rice-paper page of vol. One has come loose, but is still nice and included. Name and price inside cover. The pages are clean and crisp.

The other volumes have minor to moderate edgewear and appear unread, many look almost new. They have crisp and clean pages. No names or markings inside. All have gold edges on the top pages and deckled pages. They have no writing except the pencil price on first page of volume 1.
