Three quarto pamphlets nicely bound together in hard cover, labeled and with a shelf tag on the spine, and with the bookplate of Zion Research Library.

1.  L'Estrange, Roger. The Relapsed Apostate or Notes Upon a Presbyterian Pamphlet Entituled, A Petition for Peace, &c. Wherein The Faction and Design are laid as open as Heart can wish. London: Printed for  Henry Brome, n.d.
[1661].  (16), 85,(1)pp   RL'E (1617-1704) was a strong supporter of Charles II and an opponent of non-conformity.  Here he opposes a Presbyterian pamphlet related to the English Liturgy, not long before the Act of Uniformity drove out so many ministers.    The title page is worn and the edges of the text trimmed affecting some side notes.

2. [Ward], Seth, Lord Bishop of Sarum [Salisbury]. The Christian's Victory over Death. A Sermon at the Funeral of the Most Honourable George [Monck] Duke of Abermarle, &c.  London: James Collins, 1670. A larger pamphlet with a black border.  36pp   SW (1617-1689) had been appointed by Charles II to livings in  London and later became a bishop. He strongly opposed non-conformists and strictly enforced the Conventicles Act.  George Monck (1608-1670) was a General during the Civil Wars and afterward against the Dutch, and played an important role in maintaining order during the great plague and the great fire of London.

3. Stillingfleet, Edward.  A Sermon Preached November V., 1673 at St. Margaret's Westminster.  London: for Henry Mortlock, 1674.  The title page is somewhat soiled, but the rest of the text is clean.  50pp  ES (1635-1699) was an eminent Anglican preacher, here on the text "beware of false teachers", primarily directed against Rome.
