Up for sale, a 2001 Gibson Songbird Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. The predecessor to the Songwriter model, this Gibson dreadnought was produced from 1999-2003, featuring an X-braced Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and a piezo undersaddle pickup. This particular Songbird Deluxe benefits from a fresh neck reset and a tall, compensated bone saddle.

The instrument delivers ample note detail and projection, befitting the dreadnought body size and 25 1/2" scale length. In many ways akin to an Advanced Jumbo, the bass register has a smoothness and rich rumble, and the midrange is layered and present. The plain strings are round and punchy, yet with more airy high treble than most Gibson acoustics. The undersaddle piezo pickup ensures additional versatility for live situations. This Songbird Deluxe weighs 4lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
