This is a New Old Stock Lucas Model 23D4 centrifugal advance distributor made in January of 1967. This was standard equipment on all Austin/Morris Cooper S engines and is suitable for all A-Series four cylinder applications including Austin Healey Sprite and MG Midget. This one has been improved with red rotor, cap with brass contacts (not aluminum) and, most importantly, solid steel in the normally hollow clamping area. This is the ultimate for high performance or competition use, ready to go! Winner pays postage at cost plus $1.00 handling fee. Multiple auctions, postage combined, one handling fee.

Oh, and dont give me crap about electronic ignition. You can buy a lifetime supply of points for what one of those things cost. Points are easily cleaned, adjusted or replaced and they never fail. In my 60+ years of working on British cars I've had experience with Speedwell, Piranha, Lucas and Pertronix and they all fail. Points are more trustworthy and reliable.
