Since the barrel itself brittled, since some of the old celluloid was not manufactured too good and also can be caused by wrong handling during time, the barrel itself is a reproduction on resin base!
Means only the barrel is repro , the rest, grip section, mechanic, feeder setup, nib and cap is 100% Pelikan

This pen can clearly be dated between 1933 and 1937! As that was the change from hard rubber barrels towards celluloid and till 1938 gold nibs were still available, before stopped by Germany, due to WWII
