Golden Rule and eBay Seller Policies As of 4/23/2020

Full payment is required within 7 days from the end of the auction unless prior approval for a payment extension is received from the Seller.  It is my goal with every ebay transaction to treat you the way that I would want to be treated. Communication is the key. Please contact me through the internal ebay messaging system with any issues that may come up during or after the auction.

SHIPPING/HANDLING/INSURANCE POLICY

When S&H fees are determined during an eBay auction listing, it is my intent, in good faith, to recover 100% of my actual out-of-pocket expenses associated with the listing so that the Net Sale (Winning Bid plus the Fixed S&H Fee less Actual Expenses) will equal the Winning Bid amount. My actual expenses usually include expenses associated with packaging (box, shipping tape, bubble wrap, wrapping paper, etc) plus Postage, Listing Fee, Final Value Fee, Final Value Fee on Shipping, and PayPal Fee.  When I unintentionally underestimate S&H expenses, the Seller absorbs the difference and when I unintentionally overestimate S&H expenses, the Buyer absorbs the difference. The S&H fees charged will always be slightly over or under actual in any given auction. Please try to keep in mind that the expenses associated with an eBay transaction include more than just postage costs. It is my understanding that Sellers are responsible for the delivery of an item purchased at auction until it is received by the Buyer and verified by package tracking. This means that items lost in the mail, items damaged in transit, or items missing from a package shipped in good faith become the 100% responsibility of the Seller who is expected to cover 100% of the loss. The S&H Fee in my listings will include insurance unless the listing states otherwise.

SHIPMENT POLICY TO BUYERS OUTSIDE THE USA

My eBay auctions and the usually fixed S&H fees associated with them are designed for shipments to addresses within the USA. It is my policy not to ship to addresses outside the USA unless provision is made in advance with the Seller on an exception basis.

eBAY FEEDBACK POLICY

You can expect that I will post Feedback after all ebay transactions because proper Feedback is the best way to ensure appropriate Buyer/Seller conduct within the eBay community. Since ebay suggests that Buyers and Sellers contact each other within 3 Days after an auction ends, it is my policy to send a FRIENDLY REMINDER Email about 72 Hours after the auction ends if the Buyer has paid within 72 Hours. It is my policy to open an UNPAID ITEM CASE (UIC) with eBay through the Resolution Center on Day 4 after an auction ends unless the Buyer has requested an extension for cause. The filing of an UIC begins a "work out" period during which time the transaction can still be completed if payment is received. I may relist an item during the work out period if it is my reasonable expectation that the transaction will not be completed. Buyers who keep me informed through the ebay messaging system during payment delays can expect reasonable and fair accommodation by this Seller.

ENDING AUCTIONS EARLY POLICY

One of the primary reasons that I enjoy selling on ebay is that I'm regularly surprised by the completed-auction prices on many of the items that I list which many times exceed the value I had in mind. For this primary reason, I have a long-standing policy of not ending auctions early ONCE A BID HAS BEEN PLACED. I am willing to consider adding a Buy-It-Now (BIN) option to any active auction BEFORE A BID HAS BEEN PLACED if a Bidder interested in a BIN option would be willing to suggest a BIN price that I feel is reasonable. eBay works best when auctions are allowed to run their course so please do not ask me to make an exception.

AUCTION ITEM RETURN POLICY

I make a good faith effort to accurately describe the items up for sale in my ebay auctions, but if I make a material error in the item description to such an extent that you would not have entered a bid had that error not been made, I will issue a 100% refund of the purchase price including the S&H immediately upon the return of the item. Even for items that are correctly described, most of my auctions are subject to a 30 Day Return Policy.  In some return instances, I may not require the return of the item.

My return address is:  Philip D Bridges, PO Box 605, Cartersville, GA 30120-0605 (USPS) and my return physical address is:  Philip D Bridges, 23 N Wall St, Cartersville, GA 30120-3331 (FedEx/UPS).

REDUCED SHIPPING FEES FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES POLICY

For years I have spent a lot of time trying to accommodate Buyers that purchase multiple auction items then ask me to combine into one package and reduce or eliminate the S&H fee on the second and subsequent items purchased. It’s a lot of hassle for me. Therefore, unless a Buyer works out a reduction in the S&H Fee in advance of the close of the applicable auctions, the Fixed S&H posted in each auction will apply. It is very important that if the items you want are in auctions that end on different days, DO NOT PAY until all auctions have ended so that I can send an invoice and reduce the S&H on the combined shipment. It is my policy to ship within 24 Hours of receipt of payment so if you pay early before all of the auctions you want end, I will be forced to ship the item(s) for which payment is received. Please keep in mind that when the weight of multiple items increase due to a combined shipment, the method of shipment and the associated postage may also increase. For example, if you purchase one golf polo that could be shipped USPS First Class and ask to combine 2 golf polos into one package, once the First Class 13 Oz limit is exceeded, the method of shipment must be upgraded to Priority Mail with little or no reduction in the S&H fee.

FEE REDUCTION FOR LOCAL PICKUP

In some instances, it may be desirable for a Buyer to request local pick up of an item for which a fixed S&H fee is posted in an auction listing. The Buyer must notify the Seller before the auction ends that local pick up is requested. It is then up to the Seller to set the time and place of delivery and quote the reduced S&H fee.
